Online Communications
`The Sequoyah Hills Board of Directors encourages all members to meet our neighbors and create a strong community. However, we do realize that social media and electronic communication is a large part of how we communicate today. There are several forums by which you may engage within the community. Please note that none are run or endorsed by the Board or the Homeowners Association. In no place will you be able to electronically access a complete roster of your neighbors, and the majority of participation is unmonitored and at your own risk.
Google Group
Members of the Sequoyah Hills community engage with the Sequoyah Homeowners Google group. However, do note that the Google group is not run, managed, or endorsed by the HOA Board of Directors, although many of us are members and often comment as such. The Google group is run by a neighbor for the value of the community, and no administration or oversight is done by the Board or HOA representatives.
Email from this list may be sent to you individually, in a semi-regular digest form, or read-only on the Sequoyah Homeowners Google Group’s pages (https://groups NULL.google NULL.com/u/1/g/sequoyah-homeowners/). It is up to you to set the preferences that you are comfortable with.
To join the email group, simply send an email to sequoyah.homeowners@gmail.com (sequoyah-homeowners-subscribe null@null yahoogroups NULL.com). You will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. Please note that to unsubscribe, change your delivery preferences, or change your email, you will need to work within the Google group tools or contact the administrator. The Board cannot help.
Nextdoor.com
There is also nextdoor.com (http://www NULL.nextdoor NULL.com) for community alerts and conversations which you are welcome to, and should, investigate. At the time the Yahoo group was created, there was no nextdoor or other social media option neighbors could use. We have seen some of our neighborhood communications migrate to this platform. Nextdoor is more open and public, although it is moderated, our HOA has no control over the topics, moderation, or issues that members choose to post.
